Life Happens is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by industry leaders who recognized the need to provide more people with educational information about life insurance and related products.<\/p>\n

As of 2024, Life Happens, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Society of Financial Services Professionals have come together as one organization. The expanded organization retains all three brands under the NAIFA umbrella<\/a> and leverages each organization\u2019s strengths to create a greater impact for the industry, financial service professionals and consumers.<\/p>\n

Life Happens\u2019 mission is to educate consumers. We don\u2019t sell anything, and we don\u2019t endorse any particular insurance products or companies. As a nonprofit, you can be assured that the information we provide about the importance of life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance and annuities in a sound financial plan is neutral and unbiased.<\/p>\n

We fulfill this mission in two ways:<\/p>\n
